the best lip balm EVER?!

Ok, so we set out to make the BEST cuticle butter ever (not a small feat, we know!) We searched high and low for all the best ingredients to create our very own cuticle butter that really worked.......well, it just so happens that Cutie-Fix  (cute name eh?!) also happens to be a multi-tasker, which we love! 

We rubbed it on our fingers, toes, on our knees and elbows and then, our lips! "Wow" came out of one yummy staffer. Another said, "This stuff is really hydrating my lips!"

and so........ Cutie-Fix was born, not just a cuticle butter but a really hydrating butter for any scaly, flaky, dry patch that ails you EVEN your lips!

It's loaded with sweet almond oil, avocado oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, mango butter & lanolin butter- also wheatgerm oil, tamanu oil, lemon & lavender oils and of course, Vitamin E!

sex soap- more for your bod than your board

ok, get your head out of the gutter! This is sex soap, looks similar to the stuff you rub on your surfboard- but hey, this is soap, so it's more for your bod than your board.

Dirty Soap?!

Our Dirty Soap is loaded with Rhassoul clay that comes from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. So what's so special about this clay? We're glad you asked! ;) Rhassoul clay is unique because it has a higher concentration of trace elements like magnesium, iron, calcium, sodium, silica and potassium. These elements help to detoxify the skin by drawing out impurities and toxins.

We add pure essential oils like, rosemary, tea tree and lemon, all renown for their antiseptic qualities. We put these together in our hand made, vegetarian soap, and voila! Dirty Soap. Perfect for anyone wanting to sport a beautiful clear back or clear up those annoying little bumps on the backs of your arms! We make high quality, sustainable products loaded with fresh, natural ingredients and minimal preservatives.

Cocoa butter, fresh mint, ground cinnamon, seaweed, organic vanilla pods, almonds, rice, cocoa powder, lemons, oranges, juices, teas and sea salt are just a few of the many fresh ingredients we use daily.

FRESH IS IMPORTANT

It has long been known that fruits and veggies are best when the whole fruit is used. Many times it's the pulp that contains all of the good, nutritious vitamins, nutrients & enzymes that our bodies crave. Your skin, the largest organ your body has, absorbs these nutrients. So putting what's outside your body is as important as what you put inside.

PARABEN FREE PRESERVATIVE

Of the many products we make, about three fourths are unpreserved. This is primarily because of the minimal amounts of water used and the addition of natural ingredients like vitamin E, rosemary oil, grapefruit seed extract and many essentials oils help in the fight against bacteria. Some of our products containing water require some preservative just to get the product to 'play nice' due to the bacteria potential of the environment. Using preservatives gives products greater practicality, allowing for longer shelf life, room temperature storage and more time for you to enjoy the product.

We use Optiphen as a preservative in our products that are most susceptible to bacterial growth, because of high water content. No one wants to open their favorite cream and find spots. Optiphen is paraben free and is one of the safest, if not the safest preservative we could find.

With freshly made products you can rest assured that when you get our product, it has not been sitting on a warehouse shelf for three years. It's fresh, good for you, and oh so yummy.

The latest soap cake!

Fresh out of the oven!! Mmmmmm...........you should smell it! Imagine a freshly baked blueberry muffin, hot out of the oven, and drizzled with a lemon sugar glaze..........YUM!! 

It's scrumptious just sitting on the cake stand on the island in the kitchen! Use it like a scented centerpiece, BUT when you have guests over, they get to take a slice home. Now, that's hospitality! And who do you know whose EVER served up a soap cake??

Yeah!! Soap Cakes

Handmade and scrumptious- smelling lovely of lemon-citrus scents....

Or rich and creamy chocolate, with chocolate curls on top!

This one is Chocolate and Coconut, with warm yummy coconut soap shaved on the top, to add to the effect.

This is the double chocolate, wrapped with a pink bow and topped with a silk orchid.

They are gorgeous and look so pretty sitting on a cake pedestal. They come pre-sliced, and wrapped with the bow, so you only need to send your guests out the door with a clam-shell (preferable the recyclable kind) filled with their own piece of soap.

Our clam shells look like clear plastic but are actually made of 100% corn! Yeah, can you believe it?! They are fully biodegradable within 45-60 days and so eco-friendly! We love that! We can add these to your order as well.

Give us some notice, some of our cakes can be ready in as little as two weeks, others need four weeks to cure.

Cupcake fizzy's

What a great gift idea! A cupcake bath fizzy!

Our cupcakes are bath fizzy's on the base and the frosting is actually whipped soap. We make them smell yummy too, like a freshly baked butter-cream topped cupcake. Yum!

You put the whole cupcake in the bath, the fizzy will erupt in a bubbly, fizzy  delight, releasing skin softening oils and the frosting (soap) floats around until you are ready to scrub a dub.

Our 4 oz cupcakes were such a hit, we decided to make mini-cupcakes that are coming soon! 

They smell great and make bath time so FUN.

They will be packaged in a set of three or more and they are so cute, who wouldn't love these adorable mini bath cupcakes?!

They make great party favors too ;) Bridal, birthday, classrooms....just thought we'd throw that out there!

Our fair trade unrefined shea butter

Our shea butter comes from a small village in Ghana, where the village women  harvest and package the shea butter.

It’s fair trade, which means paying a fair price or wage in the local context, providing equal employment opportunities, engaging in environmental sustainable practices, providing healthy and safe working conditions, being open to public accountability, and reducing the number of middlemen between producers and consumers. Fair trade is environmentally, economically and culturally sustainable and gives local communities the opportunity to self empower.

This is just good karma folks and something we strongly believe in.

who we are

Yummy suds was created in November 2008 in Brevard County Florida. 

The idea came about after searching for a great gift idea for a group of kindergartners. We saw a show that demonstrated how to make cute bagged soaps that looked like goldfish in the water.  We then started wondering how homemade soap was made and the education began.

We learned many things, like how to make soap,  lotion, lotion bars, scrubs, lip balms, body butters, bath bombs, bath melts, shower jellies, butter bars, facial scrubs & masks, toners, massage & bath oils, infusions, extracts, all about aromatherapy, herbs and so much more. We've even created the cutest soap cakes, and cupcakes that are the biggest hit! Who knew?! 

Our focus is simple: create quality products using sustainable ingredients. Use minimal packaging and if its used, make sure it's recycled, recyclable and/or reusable. We use mostly pure essential oils, avoid parabens and use only safe synthetics (when necessary). We use products that aren't tested on animals. We test all of our products on ourselves. We use fair trade, cocoa butter, that smells like cocoa butter, that's not stripped of its lovely chocolate scent. Our fair trade unrefined shea butter is as pure as you can get. 

All of our products are vegetarian.

A lot of thought, effort and love goes into our creations. All batches are hand made, in small amounts, so it's fresh when you get it.

We believe that it's the little things in life that mean the most, like a really yummy bar of soap.
